Our research combines field observations, laboratory analyses, and geophysical methods to address fundamental questions in tectonics, paleomagnetism, earthquake mechanics, and Earth history. Recent publications include studies on continental collision and plate kinematics, magnetostratigraphic dating, fault-zone processes during earthquakes, and results from international scientific drilling expeditions, with work appearing in leading journals such as Science, Earth and Planetary Science Letters, and Geophysical Research Letters.
