heiMAG Lab – The Next Phase Begins

After almost three years of conceptualisation, planning, design, construction, and installation, the heiMAG Laboratory for Earth Magnetism has now officially been handed over to our Geodynamics research group. We are excited to begin the next phase: bringing the laboratory into full operation.

Over the coming weeks and months, we will be completing the final infrastructure work, connecting the remaining systems, and preparing the laboratory for instrument calibration. Once these final steps are complete, we will move into commissioning and calibration of our experimental facilities.

In other words, we are now poised to get started. The completion of construction marks the beginning of scientific investigations.

Stay tuned as we fine-tune our instruments and prepare the laboratory for its first experiments. We will continue sharing updates throughout the commissioning process.
