Magnetically Shielded Room

The Magnetically Shield Room is an enclosed sub room in K-004 that hosts the SRM and TD-48 oven. The 3x3m room consists of two layers of mu-metal protected on all side by vinyl paneling. The ASD TD-48SC and 2G Superconducting Rock Magnetometer are both hosted inside of this room. All electrical and necessary utilities are run through several small ports in the east wall. The room is climate controlled (pending) to maintain a nearly constant temperature.
