The Solid Earth Isotope Geochemistry Group warmly welcomes M.Sc. Angela Daniela Castro Morante as a new Ph.D. candidate in Earth Sciences at Heidelberg University.

Angela earned her M.Sc. in Applied Geology to Mineral Resources from the University of Granada  and holds a B.Sc. in Geological Engineering from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú. She brings a strong international academic background and a solid foundation in mineral resources and applied geosciences. Her previous research has focused on petrology and geochemistry, particularly the mantle–crust transition and hydrothermal ore deposits. She has combined petrographic analysis with techniques such as EMPA and XRD to investigate mineral formation processes.

The group looks forward to the fresh perspectives and scientific expertise Angela will contribute to our ongoing research and is delighted to have her join the team
