Research Profile:

  • Quaternary climate and sea-level change of the Arabian peninsula, especially last interglacial shorelines along the northeastern coastline of Oman.
  • The utilisation of cemented coastal sediments, like beachrock, as sea-level indicator. Facies variability and architecture in paleo beach deposits.
  • Beachrocks as an archive of extreme wave events in the SW Indian Ocean.
  • The incorporation of marine litter (glass, plastics and metals) into cemented coastal sediments on Eleuthera Island, Bahamas.
