- Paläozeanographie der Nordatlantischen Subtropischen Gyre während des Mittelpleistozäns (Temperatur- und Salinitätsrekonstruktionen mittels Mg/Ca- und δ18O- Messungen an flach- und tieflebenden Foraminiferen)
- Paläoklimatologie im östlichen Südamerika während des Spätpleistozäns (sedimentgeochemische Untersuchungen)
- Rekonstruktion des Antarktischen Zwischenwassers im westlichen Südozean während des Spätpleistozäns (stabile Isotope an benthischen Foraminiferen)
- Rekonstruktion von Niederschlagsveränderungen im südöstlichen Südamerika während des Holozäns und Veränderungem im Karstsystem (stabile isotope und Spurenelemente an Speläothemen)
