Klaus-Tschira-Labor für Kosmochemie - Noble gas analyses
- nu Instruments "Noblesse" - with resistance heated (high temperature) furnace, crushing device and laser stage heating (ESI NWR 213 UV Laser):
for noble gas isotope analyses (He, Ne, Ar, Kr, Xe): ion detection with 8 electron multipliers and Faraday Cup.
- VG3600 (modified) - with resistance heated (high temperature) furnace, crushing device and laser stage heating (ESI NWR 213 UV Laser):
for noble gas isotope analyses (He, Ne, Ar, Kr, Xe) and radiometric dating of minerals and rocks using the 40Ar/39Ar technique; ion detection with electron multiplier and Faraday Cup.
- MAT CH5 (modified) - with resistance heated and inductively heated furnace:
for radiometric dating of minerals and rocks using the 40Ar/39Ar and 129I/129Xe technique; ion source type CH5; ion detection with electron multiplier.
- MAP 215 (modified) - with resistance heated (high temperature) furnace:
for noble gas isotope analyses (He, Ne, Ar, Kr, Xe):ion detection with electron mltiplier.
Microscopy
-
KEYENCE VK-X200 Laser microscope - a violet laser (408 nm) allows a magnification of 200 up to 24.000 times. The maximal resolution of depth is 0.5 nm, the width resolution is 120 nm. A non-destructive investigation method to determine and analyse surface characteristics.
