Research Profile:

  • Reconstruction of Asian dust events during the Pliocene from sediments of the South China Sea
  • Large scale application of the 231Pa/230Th proxy on Atlantic sediments for the reconstruction of the deep water circulation since the LGM
  • Application of Pb-isotopes for the reconstruction of deglacial weathering intensities and tracing of past freshwater events into the Arctic/Atlantic Ocean

Scientific Career:

05/2020 – present Postdoctoral Researcher, Institute of Earth Sciences, Heidelberg University, Germany
02/2017 – 04/2020 PhD, Institute of Earth Sciences, Heidelberg University, Germany Topic: ”Relationship between sedimentary 231Pa/230Th and circulation in the North Atlantic”. Supervisors: Dr. Jörg Lippold, Prof. Dr. Oliver Friedrich
10/2014 – 12/2016 M.Sc. Geosciences, University of Kiel and GEOMAR Kiel Topic: “Holocene climate evolution of the Lake Grimsel area from a lead isotopic perspective”. Supervisors: Prof. Dr. Anton Eisenhauer, Dr. Marcus Gutjahr
